I'm not sure what's going on with my vbadvanced, but it doesn't appear to recognise when a member logs in.
Although it appears that you haven't logged in, if you look closely, the member appears on the online users module, so it's obviously just the login bar that's gone wrong.
Is this a recognised problem?
I'm on a brand new install of everything, with just bare forums at the moment.
oh, here's the link (http://www.british-mercenaries.co.uk/cmps_index.php)

I don't seem to get the problem, I see nothing wrong with your site. There are no members online either.

Yep and if u click at the bottom link ' British-Mercenary.co.uk ' u will notice something.
I think u have another forum cause it does not register @ the other link.
just use test as username & password
Yep u are right it does not seem to work properly cause it still ask me to register.
yeah now I see it. This is most likely a cookie problem. Check the cookie prefix that you have entered.
Also follow this post as well and see if this will fix the problem http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1341

He has to tie in the other forum and frontpage to cmp nav and forum with cmp. I think I saw two forums, cmp & frontpage.
Snetty try this for your cmp & forum

yeah, sorry.. I should've mentioned that i'm running vb and vba on the same server as our current setup, until i've got vb completely reading we'll continue using our old site (mambo cms).
I'll try the things you've mentioned and get back to you.

if you look at the forums, you'll notice that there are no problems there at all. It's only vba that's giving me a migraine :(
p.s. Sean, i love the design of your site (assuming it's yours).. excellent work there mate.

well, i tried resetting my cookies etc. with no joy. So I tried using another user, and set up Anothertest to see if that would work. And to my surprise it worked fine.
So it appears that the problem is only linked with my Super Admin account. Can anyone think what the cause of this could be? It doesn't appear to be only assocated with vba afterall, and causes the same problem with standard vb. I might go post on the vb site.
I'm not up to speed yet with VB as this is my first outing with it. Is it possible to set up another admin account for myself and delete the original admin account?
//edit - omg your freakin' kidding me! It's not recognising my login at all now, so I can't even login to the admin panel :(. I guess i'm reinstalling then.

Try having someone else log in with your SuperAdmin account and see if they encounter the same problem.
Perhaps its just your computer?

reinstalled it from scratch.. made a few changes and decided that I'll get vb completely sorted before I start mucking around with vba.
Thanks for the help everyone.
