Does cmps use more server resources?

wasnt sure where to ask this,feel free to move.

We are thinking of using cmps and was curious how it would effect our servers. will it put more strain on our servers ? or is it pretty much like running the basic forums only?

we have 2 dual xeon servers with one setup as a remote sql host. we expect most of our 20k memebers to reregister on the new vb forums. 150 users online at the same time on average.

Any type of dynamic script is going to affect the server load more than a static page. Some modules can be more intensive than others, but if you don't go crazy and add too many then you shouldn't have any problems.
