Thanks, Brian. How will this impact the vBa Gallery and vBa Links packages that I have installed?
The 3.5 versions of the gallery and links directory have not been released yet, so I would suggest waiting for those before upgrading to vB 3.5.

Gotcha. :) Any idea on when compatibility patches or the 3.5 versions of gallery and links will be available?

In the admincp/vbacmps_install.php file I had to do a full search & replace for the ALTER TABLE" typos - there were more than two in the file I got.

If you go and fix everyone of them (there are still about 5 in the file I downloaded today) and then run it again...it works just fine.

I am still having issues with my image paths but I'll get that fixed...

Is there a support section for this yet? Liz

Great work Brian, I will throw this up on my test install of 3.5.
Unlike some others I have no intension of upgrading from my 3.07 until 3.5 turns gold then will impex across to Gold and then install a fresh Gallery and CMPS.

On that note will there be an import script to import from 3.07 VB and 1.01 Gallery to my new fresh 3.5 and the v3.5 version of the Gallery script that I will have installed beside it ?

Is there a support section for this yet? LizSouthernLady, you (and everybody else) should be able to reach the CMPS 2.x Support Area at http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=70 -- The listing should show up with the rest of the forums.

For the record, Mac's can open .zip files

But not the ones generated by the download script here, for some reason, in some cases.

Macs can open anything..... except those nasty widows virus that seem to be going around these days ;)

Do I have to edit vbulletin files for this? Since I get this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: print_portal_output() in /home/blamina/public_html/index.php on line 35

vb 3.5 RC1 on my test server

You are running a version of vBadvanced CMPS prior to 1.0.0. Please upgrade to 1.0.0 or 1.0.1 before continuing.

Running on VB3.5 RC2 got installed fine. Im new so Mabey I missed something here, but After installing the files to the server cmps_index.php I am able to path to it and have it work. or I can rename the existing index.php (forums) to like forums-index.php and name the cmps_index.php to index.php and it does open when you path, but I can never get to the forums there is not link. I think I missed a step or am unaware of something. two questions

#1. Should the cmps_index.php be renamed in the root of your forum to index.php?
if so what do i do with the original index.php that VBulletin installs by default?

#2. How do I make a link appear like user cp, FAq, memberslist etc across the top for forums?

Thanks it seems to work fine, but I need some help.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: print_portal_output() in /home/rvracing/public_html/poliniforum/index.php on line 35

I have edited the global.conf from VB, is there any other modding to do??

yes you rename the CMPS_index.php to index.php, and your main forums should be in a different directory such as /forum or /vb

hmm, i'm wondering that now???

Can anyone help me with an IMAGE problem IM having after I have installed VBADVANCED? The portal is working fine all graphics are fine except the graphics for the Recent Threads. The Images for that and that alone are wrong. the full path for it should be http://www.gamereports.net/forum/images/icons/icon1.gif but right clicking on the icon it shows http://www.gamereports.net/images/icons/icon1.gif strangley enough the path for Polls seems to be fine they show up. go to www.gamereports.net and scroll to the bottom you will see what I mean. Anyone have a fix for this?

I went in to Vbulletin and chaged the path in the folder location and it FIxed it on the front portal page, BUT in the forums all the icons were wrong so I chaged it back..

Thanks in Advance Please help :(

Hi there, just a quick one. I have set my forum root in index.php for my cmps but the log in from my portal does not work.

For seem reason it seems to be looking for the log in file in the root of the domain and not my forums directory.

Everything else works like the post news etc so I assume my main path is correct.

any ideas of things I should check?

Brian tried both of those steps and the problem still exists. I check them both 3 times slowly... any more ideas?

It appears that you are trying to install the vBulletin 3.5 version of vBadvanced CMPS on a vBulletin 3.0 forum.

Why am I getting this message when I go to install the portal system?
I am currently using vBulletin Version 3.5.0 Beta 1 is there something wrong or am I using the wrong vbulletin vesion?

Ghostsuit

Wrong version of vBulletin I think, CPMS 3.5 was only released around the time of 3.5.0 RC1 it missed out the betas, I'd say upgrade to 3.5.0 RC2 and then add CMPS advanced.

Thanks in Advance Please help :( See I had that problem too for icons appearing on news posts on the front page and my full paths were set up in the style. I ended up going into news.php and changing
$vba_style['portal_blockbullet'] = '<img alt="" border="0" src="' . $news['threadiconpath'] . '" title="' . $news['threadicontitle'] . '" />'; to$vba_style['portal_blockbullet'] = '<img alt="" border="0" src="' . $vbulletin->options['bburl'] . '/' . $news['threadiconpath'] . '" title="' . $news['threadicontitle'] . '" />'; and it seems to have sorted the problem.
