i emailed yesterday about this but haven't had a reply.
i can log into vbadvanced but am frequently getting logged out. i don't have this problem on any other vb site and i am a member of at least 7 different ones.
when trying to prove my licence i can see the code at vbulletin.org but cannot submit it to this site because i have been logged out.
any suggestions? i'd really like to try vbadvanced but this registration routine has been very frustrating.
edit: btw, am using firefox 0.8.

Try cleaning your Temp internet files & cookies!!
Open Control panel, choose intertnet options
pick clean cookies, delete temp files!
*** NOTE: For this to work correctly, make sure internet explorer is not running on your system

yes, it was one of the first things i thought of, being myself the admin of a very large busy site it is one of those things i'm constantly advising users to do.
however, that is usually a problem related to internet explorer and i use firefox. nonetheless, i deleted the vbadvanced cookie and tried again. was still logged in.
the problem seems to have settled down and i can remain logged in for much longer - but i'm still logged out when i go to the page to input the license number. http://www.vbadvanced.com/index.php?page=license
in fact i've just opened that page in a new tab and i appear to be logged out while back in the tab i am using to write this i am still logged in (i can do 'preview' etc). is there a separate cookie for the licence key page?
the message i get if i try to submit the licence key is "We're sorry, but you must be in the "Registered" usergroup to be able to verify your license. If you feel that you have reached this page in error, please feel free to contact us."
having migrated our site this week i have been spending a lot of time on various vbulletin sites and am not getting logged out anywhere else. don't really want to delete all my cookies at this very moment and can't see that any other cookies should be interfering with log in here. have cleared the cache though.
does this site/product have people to answer emails or help with things like this? i am registered, i am licenced, i have been in contact and i've been trying to get in and download this hack for nearly two days now. i feel like giving up. :(

Unfortunatly I have no idea what is causing your cookie issues.
Did you just activate your account through the email by chance? You shouldn't get that message when submitting the password unless your account is still waiting moderation (which it isn't). If you are still having problems and would like to send me a PM with the password on vbulletin.org then I will be glad to manually update your account.

well, i appear to have 'proven licence status' now, thanks very much for sorting that out brian!
however the logging out problem means that i cannot download anything. i'm logged in until i click http://www.vbadvanced.com/products.php?do=productinfo&p=4 which takes me to the download page but logs me out again. if i attempt to log in there i'm accepted but redirected to the forums home. it is a vicious circle.
however, i have solved it - by using internet explorer! there's a first time for everything and this is the first time that ie has worked where firefox hasn't. reckon firefox must have screwed up a cookie somewhere. if i get the time i'll try to figure out what went wrong.
downloaded both homepage and cmps and looking forward to some fun with them!
