Looking for a simple Top 5 posters module that shows just the Poster's name and postcount. Basically just want to add a few more users to the existing "top poster" shown in the stats, but realize this will be a separate module.

Actually I used the search feature quite extensively, and in doing so ...either from here or on vbulletin.org (I forget which) I saw a similar mod that was created for version 1.x and a post that indicates that it doesn't work with version 2.x. So, I limited my further searching to things in the 2.x forums...I'm assuming that is why they are in separate categories :D Thank you for the reply and the pointer. I'll take a look but I'd really like something designed for the current version.

You can get this one to work in 2.0 with very little effort. You need to install it the same way you would with 1.x, when you get to this part of the module creation "Use Module Shell Template" just choose "No".

Any tips on how on the best/easiest way to "fix" this module so that you don't have to set the "Use Module Shell Template" to "NO"? I'd really like it to have all of the same style and functionality of the standard CMPS blocks...part of why I chose to use a CMPS system in the first place.
This is a common issue with a few other blocks that apparently were coded for version 1.x If I don't set this option to "No", any block displayed after them gets dumped to the bottom and the whole home page layout is badly borked. Would love any suggestion for some common fix that could be applied to them all.
