Hi, got this error after loading the forum/admincp/vbacmps_install.php when I tried to install the vbadvanced program:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING, expecting ')' in /home/httpd/vhosts/****/httpdocs/forum/includes/adminfunctions_template.php on line 3107
Please help! I use version 3.0.5
Thanx, Marco

Looks like you modified your adminfunctions_template.php file incorrectly.

Are all parse errors caused by wrong typing? Because I retyped the change in the above file, and that works, but now I get:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/httpd/vhosts/****/httpdocs/forum/includes/functions_calendar.php on line 547
and I haven't been typing in that line...
My forum still is offline

Pretty much. If you're installing 2.0 of the CMPS though, why are you modifying the functions_calendar.php file?

Because the Readme said so!
Now I can't remember if I downloaded version 1 or 2...

As clever as I am :D I just found out that I installed version 1. Is v. 2.0 simpler? Should I upgrade to v. 2.0 first before I search for the problem?
appreciate your time!

At last I 've succeeded to install the lot and it works, but it's not linking to the forum. I can see the last postings in the forum, but when I'm clicking on them I get the page vBadvanced reloaded with errors. The avatar of the user is not shown (the famous red X).
My question is: do I need to rename the cmps_index.php to index.php? I can understand that, but what about the original index.php from the forum/vBulletin program?
Appreciate your help!
Marco

Can you post a link to your site?
And as for renaming the file:

www.schrijversplaza.nl/forum is the existing forum, www.schrijversplaza.nl/forum/cmps_index.php is the problem. If de cmps is working, I want to rename it to index.
The forum itself is working properly (vBulletin), the cmps only displays a summary of it and doesn't link or change anything in the forum itself when clicking in it. Only the 'Forum Schrijversplaza'-link in the left corner works properly ('Site navigation'). Neither the avatar of a user is displayed.
It seems that somewhere in the installation or after that the linking went wrong. When the cmps_index file is loaded, there's always a error-message (yellow triangle) shown in de left corner at the bottom of IE.
SchrijversPlaza is a dutch website for writers.
Thanks for your help,
Marco

Admin CP => vBulletin Options => Forum URL
Make sure that is set to 'http://www.schrijversplaza.nl/forum'.
