I really went to town on this site.. lol. Literally.

First off, it's a sister site to www.TampaRacing.com. So, i modified vbulletin to share the user tables, who's online data, and private message tables. Instant userbase. Users from TampaRacing then do not have to register to use TampaForums.com.

vB CMPS modules:

Replaced vB's view profile with a CMPS page
Replaced vB's user control panel with a cmps page
Changed all vB templates to use the new cmps pages.
Most reputable guys/gals using vB's reputation system.
Rate this user module.
Top rated users module.
Newest Guys/Girls module.
Who last viewed your profile module.
Send a wink module
User blogs module
Quick blog stats module.
Last posted user blog entry
Show users buddies when viewing profiles.

I am sure there are a ton more things I added.. but cant think of it right now due to being burnt out from going live today.

I basically created myspace functionality using CMPS for vBulletin.

wow that nice! How do you do the profile thing?

Each boxed area in the profile is a cmps module. Create all the modules to check for the _GET var userid (Include the _GET userid in the url link to someones profile). When the page is displayed the modules will know who's profile to grab. If it doesnt get the userid from the GET, make it assume your own bbuserinfo[userid] and display your profile.

Sounds complex, but an easy idea to impliment. Make sure to update all your vbulletin templates to reference the new profile pages.

Thanks for the compliments. Yeah, the skin was done in house. My girlfriend actually did all the photoshop work. I am trying to get her to make skins and sell them. We shall see... Maybe register hottiewithskins.com and have her put up a skin shopping area.. lol

Nice idea on the module system. I have been working on a simlair project for the Hampton Roads area.

I take it your modules are just pulling the usual user info and displayed in a custom module box?

By far the best site I have seen put together, overall. Looks insane. Now I need to try and hunt down some of the hacks you have so many of them I havent seen at all before.

The recent updates "Showing users" is hot.
Most Popular Users
Random Member (Image display on Portal page)

And the list goes on and on, love the site.

Can someone please write up how this can be done? The current description leaves to many questions open.

People keep asking yet I haven't seen a reply...

Is there ANY chance you a can release a few of these custom modules you have on your site? I know you want your site to be unique, but I can personally say... there are a ton of modules on there that I've been trying to get made for ages! :) :) :)

PM me... I'm willing to donate a few bucks :D
