Hi, all. I like the look of the vBadvanced home page, but I'm not sure it's not more than I really need. I just want a home page with the vBulletin navbar and whatever I want to put on it. I wouldn't object to having the sidebars that are on the home page here, but if it's alot of work, I just can't do it...I've done well just to get as far as I have and I can't spend a whole lot more time on it, because I don't have it right now.

So, I guess the question is, can I use this add-on the way I want? I'd like to be able to make a home page, maybe pick a layout in the gallery (I use Photopost) to show in the body of the page, maybe a few more images and some text, but I don't need to show the recent threads...where the boxes are in the middle of your home page, I'd just like one big page that I could put my own html text and images in. Is this what I need or is there an easier way?

BTW, one of the main reasons for this is that I need to somehow direct traffic into the forums and/or gallery...right now, if they just enter the website address without either /forums or /photopost, they are redirected to my shop and that isn't what I want to happen. The domain that vBulletin is installed on is an add-on domain and I don't seem to be able to set up a redirect successfully, even with help from my hosting provider. I want a nice homepage, anyway, and I want to include the header and navbar from vBulletin, so, is this the best way to do it?

Sorry if I rambled on a bit...I've been up too late for a few nights :) .

Thanks for any advice/suggestions you can spare!

Kathy

Yes, you can use the CMPS any way you would like and every module can be turned on/off very easily.
