Is there any way to have this link either to the last post in a thread or show the individual pages like forum home or both? Thanks.

If you search the hacks forum I believe hacks for both of these have been posted.

I couldn't find anything for 2.0 but did figure out the last post myself, for anyone else who wants it.

Go into styles and find adv_portal_latesttopicbits. Find the part that says

t=$thread[threadid]"Change it to

t=$thread[threadid]&goto=newpost"
