O.K so this will be my first time installing vBAdvanced so I just want to get this all squared away before i mess anything up:

1. vBAdvanced RC2 for 3.5 should work on all beta version (im running 4) and should be able to work in the future with newer beta releases and 3.5.X releases.

2. When I upgrade vBulletin what exactly do i need to do to make vBA work again since it requires file edits...

3. Where exactly do you suggest putting vBAdvanced? As your home page? And then link to the forums form there?

4. Does the zip file include some sort of manual as to how to add news and stuff like that?

Thanks :)

EDIT: ah yes and whats this whole "chdir()" thing? It seems to be causing quite a bit of problems with other users (after reading a couple of threads). What do i set it as and where?

Re-apply the file edit

I have mine in the root and my forum in /forum

Make sure that your Cookie Domain is set to '.yourdomain.com' and your Cookie Path is set to '/'. Then be sure to close all browser windows and clear your cache.

my cookie path is set to /ugforums/ because i have more than one forum.
My cookie domain is now set to .ugforums.org and i will now restart my browser, clear my cache, and report back.

If your cookie path is set to ugforums then the cookie is only going to affect files under that folder.

O.K I have an idea. Could i move the forums to the main direcotry (so public_html) AND have vbA in that same directory?

I'd then do that FAQ thing, ill rename the forum index.php to forum.php and whatever, so...would that work?

And then change the cookie thing to just "/"
