New Installation

In the process of setting up a New Community Based Web Only
So done a direct install of vBulletin straight into the root rather than having a seperate folder. Then more or less followed the instructions for CMPS..

Seemed to install ok.. Can see it in the admincp no probs..
But doesnt appear to be activaiting in the Front-page So suspect I have the paths in the cmps index wrong... Either that not doing something right.
So if anybody can point me in the right direction.. Being a newbie to PHP that is..

How is it not "activaiting in the Front-page"? The CMPS will show up wherever you uploaded the cmps_index.php file to.

what I did was delete my forums index.php and rename the cmps_index.php to index.php, editted it so that it didnt chdir and now it works perfectly.

You deleted your forums index.php? You need to rename it to something like forums.php and edit the vBulletin config to tell it the new name; not delete it.

I shouldve checked the version number as I did it in v2 RC2 sorry.

I couldnt for the love of life get it working any other way as the homepage would go to / but hard links in the forum would access /forum and would thus stop the cmps_index.php loading with vBa

Looks rubbish though!

Sure I will get there if I keep fiddling....

But now seems to be a spacer gif file missing.. clear.gif?
