I installed everything, and the doimages thing ran fine, but when i go to my cmps_index.php all of the images that should be /forum/images/icon/icon1.gif are showing up as /images/icon/icon1.gif

Try going to your Admin CP => Post Icons => Post Icon Manager. Once there, select an icon category, and then edit one of your icons. You don't actually have to change anything, just save the icon and that should update the icon cache. If that doesn't help let me know.

I have this exact same problem.
If you right click "properties" it shows /images/icons/et.
Instead of forum/images/icon/etc.

You could try going to http://yoursite.com/forum/admincp/vbacmps_install.php?do=doimages to try and update the images again. If that doesn't work then you'll need to manually edit each one through your Admin CP to change the paths.

I had this same problem. It seems to be when the thread in question didn't have an icon selected. For some reason the image is getting set to the un-altered (i.e. old) path for icon1.gif. I've solved it for now by editing "vBulletin Options -> Thread Display Options" and setting "Show Default Post Icon" to the full path to icon1.gif. All threads where the poster had selected an icon were showing up fine.

I have this problem too. The full path method works.

the dir says "/icon/" ... it's supposed to be plural: "/icons/" and that works. just fyi. :P
