Just installed but not showing up in AdminCP. And when I click Admin on the CPMS_index.php, it just takes me to forums admin. What could I have done wrong? Install seems to go fine.

the settings are in the /forums/admincp/index file. If you did the edits they will be there.

Not sure what you mean by this. I edited the index file as specified in the Readme.

Then you should see vba CMPS in your admincp on the left hand side

er...that's my question. It's not showing up there...

If it is not showing up along the left side then you didnt edit the admincp/index file correctly

I pasted this:

// ************************************************* construct_nav_option($vbphrase['default_settings'], 'vba_cmps_admin.php?do=modifysettings'); construct_nav_option($vbphrase['edit_modules'], 'vba_cmps_admin.php?do=listmodules'); construct_nav_option($vbphrase['add_module'], 'vba_cmps_admin.php?do=newmodule'); construct_nav_option($vbphrase['edit_pages'], 'vba_cmps_admin.php?do=listpages'); construct_nav_option($vbphrase['add_page'], 'vba_cmps_admin.php?do=newpage'); construct_nav_option($vbphrase['download_upload_module'], 'vba_cmps_admin.php?do=download'); construct_nav_option($vbphrase['quick_permissions_editor'], 'vba_cmps_admin.php?do=permissions'); construct_nav_group($vbphrase['vba_cmps']); construct_nav_spacer();

above

$printhr = false;
if (can_administer('canadminsettings'))

Was there something else? That's all it said to do in the instructions.

And you uploaded the changed file to you admincp directory?

yes

Then the entry will show up.

Otherwise, you made a mistake with one of the two steps.

Step 1) Make the described modifications to the admincp index.php file.
Step 2) Upload the changed index.php over the existing index.php in the admincp directory.

seems like purhaps it didnt save, or you uploaded it to the wrong dir and it is reading from the original inde.php files.Have you rechecked to make sure those edits are there in the file that is on your server?

Seems we're going round in circles here. I've made that change, it saved and it doesn't work.

From the other thread (http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/showthread.php?p=57523#post57523) it seems that this product isn't what I wanted anyway, so thanks for your help and let's just leave it.

Appreciate the help.
Just won't be using it now so doesn't matter.
Cheers
