vBadvanced Forums FAQ

Here you can find answers to questions about how the board works. Use the links or search box below to find your way around.

What is vBadvanced, and what is required to use your software?

vBadvanced is dedicated to providing the best add-ons for your vBulletin forum software. All of our products require and are completely integrated with vBulletin. Please note that if you do not have the paid forum software vBulletin installed on your server, our software will not work without it.
In general, our products will work on your sever as long as vBulletin is installed and working properly. For more specific requirements regarding the necessary PHP and MySQL versions required, please go to the 'Software Products' link at the top of any page, click on the 'More Info' link next to the product you are interested in, and check the 'Requirements' section near the bottom of the page.

Can I have you install the software for me?

We offer professional installation service for any of our products for $14.99 each. To order this service, click the Software Products link at the top of any page and then click on the 'Order' or 'Download' link for the product you wish to order installation service for. Follow through the steps there and you will see the option to order our professional installation service.

How long does your professional installation service take?

We try to begin installations as soon as possible after the order is seen and installations are generally completed at least within 24 hours after the order is placed. It may take up to 36-48 hours on the weekends or holidays, but this is rare. Note that this process may be delayed if incorrect server or forum information is provided in your support ticket, so we suggest double checking the information submitted in order to ensure we are able to install the software for you as soon as possible.

Will vBadvanced work with my custom vBulletin style?

vBadvanced products will work with most vBulletin styles "out of the box". Some styles may require a little extra work if they were not coded properly for vBulletin by making use of the $stylevar variable to prefix images with. If you do have any problems with your style(s) on your vBadvanced pages, there are full instructions on how to update your image paths located here.

What should I do if I have a problem, and how long does it take to get help?

If you are having a problem that is not covered in the FAQ here, your next step should be to Search our Support Forums. With thousands of people using vBadvanced products, there is a good chance your problem has already been answered in the forums. When searching, be sure to think carefully about the search terms to help narrow your results. If you are receiving a specific error, try to pick out key words from that error in order to limit your search to more relevant results.

If you cannot find an answer by searching, you may post a new thread in our Support Forums. Be sure to select the right forum for the product and version of the product that you are having a problem with, and be as specific as possible about the problem. If you have taken any steps to try to correct the issue, be sure to mention what you have already done. If you are receiving a specific error, be sure to copy and paste the error into the post.

How long will I have to wait to get an answer?
Our community is full of helpful members and often times they will be able to help out before our staff if you post your questions/problems in the Support Forums. Our staff members do read all posts pertaining to support and will generally reply to new threads within 24 hours or less. Note though that support may be slower on the weekends and holidays.

If you do not want to post your problem publicly in the support forums or have a question not directly related to software support, you may use our support ticket system instead. Note that this support method is often slower than the support forums though since only vBadvanced staff members have access to support tickets.

How do I report a site I believe is illegally running vBadvanced or violating the license agreement?

If you believe a site is illegally running our software or has otherwise violated our license agreement (such as removing the copyright notice without a branding free license), please click on the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of any page and select the 'Report Piracy' topic. This may be done anonymously if you are not logged into your account.
