Default The URL you entered is not valid

    I keep getting this error.

The following errors occurred when this message was submitted:
The URL you entered is not valid. Please make sure that you have entered a valid URL.

I have tested various links using http://www.domain.com and www.domain.com, all the fields are filled in etc. I am administrator - Any ideas please?

Sounds like your server is having problems with the 'Verify New Links' option. Try turning that off in your admin cp.

Thanks that has fixed the problem for the time being. Its weird it worked for 1 link earlier when I tested it. Yes I have been playing about a bit with things today - now thats got me wondering which setting has messed it up :-/

If you can shed anymore light please do

    Thanks again

If it worked at first and you're positive that option was turned on before then your host may have changed something to prevent your server from being able to connect to others, or it may be something with the servers for the sites you were testing with. If you try adding google.com as a link and it still gives you problems with the 'Verify Links' option turned on then it's something on your server's side.
