Default The links of the top are broken.

when I click in the links they lead to an error page

for example if I click on memberlist it leads me to www.ioguild.org/members.php instead of www.ioguild.org/forums/members.php

I had that problem too - There's probably a proper fix for it but I couldn't find it so I just edited the header templates and put the address in there manually (instead of using variables or whatever they are called).. You'll probably get a better answer soon but just in case, that worked for me =0)

    Good Luck and Have fun!

Does anybody ever think to check the FAQ forum?

I have this same problem. I have renamed cmps_index.php to index.php and have it in my root directory, because I want the front page of my website (http://paraplanet.com) to be the portal. The forums are located in a /forums directory (http://paraplanet.com/forums).

I did read the FAQ section (first thing I did!).

I made sure my forums URL was correct, with no trailing slash just as seen above. I then went into the default settings in the CMPS section the admin cp, and changed all the navbar replacements to have forums/ in front of them. That didn't work, so I copied/pasted them into the header replacments (because I use a custom style). That didn't work. So then I tried /forums/ and went through the whole routine again. It didn't work. I even changed the full URL to the CMPS file under "options" to /index.php rather than /cmps_index.php.

The navbar still has links as if the forums were installed in the root directory. I don't know why. At least I read the FAQ first though

    any ideas?

edit: I have this hack installed: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=130868

I noticed that in this thread: http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/show...t=broken+links

there was a problem with another video player hack. I tried uninstalling that hack but the navbar links were still broken.

edit2: I fixed the problem, which was my FULL url path to the cmps_index feild in the default option section of the CMPS controls. I replaced /index.php with the FULL url liked it asks to hehe. In other words I placed http://paraplanet.com/index.php in the feild instead of /index.php then I reset the default pathnames in the navbar replacement part. It fixed it!

So nevermind Brian carry on! One less thing to worry about

    Hi,

I am having the same problem.

I have tried everything known to mankind and still cannot get this to work.

Yes I have READ THE FAQ. and everything else remotely related. This is only happening on the website home page which is accessed through www.yoursite.com and index.php which is the file that is then referenced by the server this is the CMPS index page. My forum is in the /forum directory

    Suggestions??? Help???

    Thanks

Here is another upsetting item. VBA Links is not uninstalling from the VB Admin menu, tried it a couple of times already and it still won't remove. Latest version too, isn't that wonderful :-). I am using the latest VBA CMPS and VB.

What do you have set for your Navbar Replacements option? Can you post a link to your site?

You need to remove the files that you uploaded for vBa Links as well if you're uninstalling.

    Hello,
I opened a ticket so you can poke around the site if you like. The ticket was opened last night. Thanks.
