    Default Thumbnail images for links

I upgraded to the newest version of vB today - what a NIGHTMARE!!! I've been fixing broken stuff on my forum for the past 4 hours

Anyway, the thumbnail images stopped working. http://www.top-vb.com/links/

Is there a setting in the links controls that turns them back on? (I can't find it, if there is) - or do I just have to wait for them to come back?

    Please advise, thanks

Thumbnails is not part of the vba links directory, it´s hack (or a template modification)

Sounds strange, have you uploaded the vba links again when you
upgraded vbulletin? In that case your templates will no longer show thumbnails.

A hack? I never installed anything separate to show the thumbnails before - ever.

Yes you did... we had a conversation about it.

Check post #3 for links to the various methods of doing it. If I recall correctly you did the MSN method.

Question - I did as Kevin suggested to get thembnail images, back on the 12th. To date, I still have images next to the links that say No preview available. How long does it usually take to generate a preview of the link? Does anyone know?

It all depends on if MSN can send you one at that particular moment. I always have the 'no preview' thembnails showup. I just click F5 and refresh the page. Sometimes they show up, sometimes they dont.

I think they have, likely as part of the switch from MSN Search to Live Search. I haven't played around yet to see if there is comparable alternative available.
