    Thanks.
    So I tried uploading this module and get this error message:

    Code:

    	(`0`, `modcol`, `displayorder`, `active`, `userperms`)

    Error Number : 1054

    I'm using 3.6.8 and 2.2.1 - what do I need to fix to get this to work? All I did was download, unzip and upload. I was able to get it to work on another one of my installations just fine.

    Just a heads up to others who might be having this problem - I upgraded to CMPS 3.0 RC2 and it seems to have fixed the problem.

    The link to the blogs is still wrong on the portal page. I already have users using the blog or I would have deleted this hack. Did anyone work out how to fix the link?

    I don't know if this is the right way to do this, but here it goes. I went into the php page and changed the following line:

    Code:
    $spitblogs .= "<a href=\"{$vbulletin->options[bburl]}/blog.php?b=$blogid\">$blog_title</a> - <a href=\"{$vbulletin->options[bburl]}/blog.php?u=$blog_userid\">($blog_username)<br /></a>";
    It works for me.

    Here is a question. What would we add in the php file to show some of the text in the blog entry underneath the blog? Maybe just 2 or 3 lines? Sort of a preview of what the blog is about.

    Any idea of how I could add a small icon at the beginning of the blog titles?

    Is there an option to isolate it so that only people on your "buddy" list show?

    Your ignorance is astounding. This is your first post and you actually write something like that? Hopefully others sees this and every time in the future you request something or need assistance, they simply skip over you.

    The additions to this site in the form of additional modules and alterations are done for free. They are not required. If you can't get something to work, perhaps you should learn to code and you wont be required to use other peoples code.

    A few snippets from this thread have saved me some time searching out the queries I need for a feature I am working on, so I want to thank everyone that has contributed to this thread.

    I think you missed the point iguanairs. elementalwindx was indicating that they are gay

    But I digress ... has anybody done anything extra yet with the template? such as showing a preview of the post?

    I may be speaking out of turn here but this module should actually be split into 2 templates, at least that's the only way I know how to do it. Anyway, I will work on this this weekend in my spare time (laying a new kitchen floor) and will post back here to "correct" some of the issues some are having including paths and what not.

    That would be much appreciated, look forward to an update, at your convenience of course!

    Not working for me either. The blogs are in the forums subdomain (forum.example.com/blogs/), and it links to the main domain URL where vBadvanced is installed: example.com/blogs/

    Sorry guys! I am running out of time getting this floor laid. I probably won't be able to get to this this weekend but I promise to work on it this week. It shouldn't take to long once I get going on it.

    This works for me but I changed the user code to link to the user's profile.

    Code:
    $spitblogs .= "<a href=\"{$vbulletin->options[bburl]}/blog.php?b=$blogid\">$blog_title</a> - <a href=\"{$vbulletin->options[bburl]}/member.php?u=$blog_userid\">($blog_username)<br /></a>";

    Borrowing from your great idea and tazzarkin's code, I added a small icon in the vb_blog.php file. You could add in the stylevar variable but I personally have been trying to get away from editing each style every time I change something.

    Code:
    $spitblogs .= "<img src=\"{$vbulletin->options[bburl]}/images/misc/blog_icon.gif\"> <a href=\"{$vbulletin->options[bburl]}/blog.php?b=$blogid\">$blog_title</a><br />$blog_dateline by <a href=\"{$vbulletin->options[bburl]}/member.php?u=$blog_userid\">$blog_username</a><br />Viewed $blog_views times<br />";
