    Is it possible to have the blog display member avatar picture if they going to post?

    Just wondering if you've had the chance to update this to include the authors name, avatar, etc... thanks!

    Nice module,just seems a bit plain to me. If there was more to it like maybe small avatrs next to the name or somthing.

    I changed the number from 15 to 5, but it still displays more than 5. Any ideas?

    Does not work with vbulletin 3.7, I get the same error that Webber got.

    Edit: Fixed

    After installing the module, using FTP access your site, navigate to modules folder and find vb_blogs.php

    find and delete the following line in vb_blogs.php

    WHERE blog.state='visible' and blog.pending=0

    Done.

    I tried doing this in the module file (recentblogs.module), but when I tried to upload it after making any changes it gave me error that the module file is invalid.

    Keep in mind that with the removed line above, all your blogs will be displyed, and that includes moderated and soft-deleted blogs.

    My current setup is Vbulletin 3.7.0 Beta 5, Vbulletin Blog v1.0.4 and CMPS v3.0.0.

    A couple of improvements I would work on (I'm going to try them myself)

    add:

    1. blog author
    2. author avatar
    3. post date

    Thanks again!
    i would like to second this request...it works fine on my site, but way too basic. needs blog author/date etc.

    I love this hack - very simple and effective.

    Please please can you do something identical for projects?

    You have this :

    SELECT blogid, title, username, dateline, userid, views
    FROM vb3_blog
    WHERE blog.state='visible' and blog.pending=0
    ORDER BY dateline DESC
    LIMIT 15;
    Change it to this :

    SELECT blogid, title, username, dateline, userid, views
    FROM vb3_blog
    WHERE state='visible' and pending=0
    ORDER BY dateline DESC
    LIMIT 15;
    Removing : WHERE blog.state='visible' and blog.pending=0
    would actually cause the plugin to load any type of blog post, even unpublished ones.

    Here is the best one that I have found so far. It does not have avatars but does have the author's name and uses an image file next to each new blog.

    I attached a screenshot. I do not remember where I got this module from but it works on the latest blog, vba3x and vb3.7x

    With a file edit you can change the amount of latest blogs which are displayed.

    vba coders for some reason as well as the developer of vba are doing a super POOR job of adding the blog modules into their releases. We need the head of vba to make correct blog modules with match the full power of the recent threads modules which are included standard in vba. Wouldn't matter if it was a center module or column. The modules in vba adjust!

    So how about we bug the vba developer to fininally include vbBlogs in his own coded standard modules!

    Needs:

    - To work with vBulletin 3.7.4;
    - To work with vBBlogs 2.0.0;
    - To have options that can be configured in the backend instead of having to edit files;
    - To have author, blog title, latest blog post, date blog was started, date of latest blog post and author's avatar - all should be configurable via the backend;
    - To have the number of blogs configurable via the backend.
