    Tom, how much would you charge to make upcominigevents module bbcode friendly?
    Also if we agree on a price would you be willing to post the new events module up for the VBA community to use?

    I'll have to take a look at the code and have very limited access at the moment as I just moved and changed jobs. I think the best solution is to add the logic via the Data modification option if at all possible.

    Just thought I should let you know that this module isn't working on 4.0.7.... well it works except it gives the following database error:

    If you experience the problem where no events are showing despite having events in your calendar, ensure Unregistered users are allowed to view the calendar in the usergroup permissions. This appears to be required to see events in the module even if you're logged in as an administrator.

    Hi,

    I also wanted to have bbcode parsed in this module so I made the following change in modules/upcomingevents.php

    Find:
    PHP Code:
                    $templater vB_Template::create('adv_portal_ue_singleevent');

    $templater->register('callink'$callink);

    $templater->register('customfields'iif($mod_options['portal_ue_showcustomfields'] AND $eventinfo['customfields'], ' (' $eventinfo['customfields'] . ')'''));

    $templater->register('description'iif($mod_options['portal_ue_showdetails'] and $eventinfo['description'], '<br />' $eventinfo['description'], ''));

    $eventcontents .= $templater->render();
    Paste this ABOVE that:

    PHP Code:
                    require_once(DIR '/includes/class_bbcode.php');

    $parser =& new vB_BbCodeParser($vbulletinfetch_tag_list());

    $eventinfo['description'] = $parser->do_parse($eventinfo['description'], falsetruetruetruetruetrue);
    Not sure if that is the most efficient way of doing it but it works

    Cheers

    I'm having a strange issue..

    I wanted a different date format for mine.

    I used in the Events Date Format
    F jS

    but this is what shows up for the date range:
    June 3rd to 06-05-2011

    I've looked at the code but can't quite figure out the problem. Any ideas?

    Are you using a custom theme? Does it validate?

    I place the Upcoming Events in the right column and hit save and I briefly get the message "get me out of this frameset" and then in goest back to the cmps admin.

    When I go back into edit page, the Upcoming Events is still sitting in the Inactive Modules.

    Thoughts?

    Working link to your page would help.

    There are no events scheduled within the next 30 days.

    I have tried multiple calendars both of which have events loaded.
    Thoughts and THANK YOU in advance!

    Do the events how up on the FORUMHOME page? If so, then it's a permissions problem with the way the module is set up.

    Here is the site...

    http://www.indianaauditions.com

    Let me state... I am a simpleton when it comes to any type of programming above and beyond HTML.

    Installing something is about the extent of my ability!
    As to your question... everyone has full viewing and posting permissions on my calendars.

    I would love to send some paypal cash your way if you can help me work through this!

    The calendars are a MAIN part of the site.

    $20 paypal to someone who can fix my "upcoming events problem"!

    I think it is an easy fix but I can't figure it out.

    How about $30 to help me get this up and running correctly.

    I'm sure this is a REALLY EASY FIX for someone who knows code.
    I just want to get the module running.

    Nothing special... just running.

    I am willing to pay $30 through paypal for the person who can help!

    So far no one has any interest in taking a moment or two to even try!?
