Thread: Multiple Instances - Upgrade

    Default Multiple Instances - Upgrade

    I have multiple instances.
One installed as Library, the installed as Bloopers.
Do I need a folder installed at dynamics too?

I updated all of the settings, but I can't get the links to show in the navbar, but the folders are there.
Also, there are many style issues with both instances.

I have a vBA Dynamics link in the admincp, but I get a Database error when I try to open any page there.

Also, in the Products, I only have secondary instances, no primary instances.

I suspect I did something very wrong.

No, you do not need a folder named dynamics as long as you've uploaded the files from that folder to the library and bloopers folders on your server.

What version of vBulletin are you running? Have you customized your 'navbar' template at all? If so, try reverting that and see if the navbar links show up.

    Hi,

    I'm running 4.0.5
Dynamics was the first thing I installed after upgrading and the few other mods were turned off. It didn't work as soon as I upgraded.
I think I messed up more that that though.

Do I need a primary installation? I don't seem to have one.
You think it's just the navbar that is broken?

I also submitted a support ticket.

    Thanks

Sorry, I didn't read your whole response.
I just uploaded all of the files to the library and bloopers folders.
I redid the rebuilding of both systems but the menu still doesn't display correctly.

It looks like there was a small bug in the 'adv_dyna_navbar' template (or the equivalent for other instances) where the default 'Navbar Link Position' setting was controlling all instances. I've just updated the files in the download package here to include the fix, so you should be able to correct the issue by doing the following steps:
1). Download the files from here again and upload the forum/admincp folder and it's contents to your server over the existing files.
2). Go to the admincp/vbadyna_install.php file, select one of your secondary instances from the 'Manage Secondary Instances' section, and then select the option to reinstall the templates from the next page.
3). Do the same for any other instances and that should correct the issue.
