    Smile HTML In Custom Fields

    I realise that I've asked this before, but that was in the Dynamics 2 forum, and I've gone back to Dynamics 1 with vB 3.

    I need to be able to add HTML to the custom fields as I add them in the admin panel, and I was just wondering what I need to add where to allow me to do this. I'd like to be able to format the custom fields to my requirements, as shown in the attached image.

    Any help would be appreciated as this is the last thing I need this script to be able to do before I go live with it.

    You have to allow it for each category be setting "Allow HTML" under custom fields to yes.

    Hi, thanks for your reply. However, that setting only allows my members to add HTML to the custom fields, it doesn't allow me to configure them with HTML via my admin panel. I can't even use BB code when I add the options.

    If you're trying to put HTML within the custom field options then you would need to look in your admincp/vba_dyna_admin_main.php file for this line and remove it:
    PHP Code:
        $custom['options'] = htmlspecialchars($custom['options']);
    Note you'll need to save any previously added custom fields before this change will take effect.

    Hi, this works when inputting HTML in the admin area, but when I try to edit a file and use the new custom field, I end up with a page full of just text beginning with:

    Fatal error: Invalid custom field input. in [path]/includes/vba_dyna_functions_saveentry.php on line 165

    What type of custom field are you using (text, radio, etc), and what HTML code are you trying to enter?

    Hi, I'm trying to add multiple selection check-boxes, with images to choose from instead of text:

    Code:
    <img src=http://www.simfansuk.com/images/icons/gamehas_base.gif alt=Base_Game_Only width=20>
    I'm adding bold html code for the title, which works fine, it's just when I add HTML to the actual options that I receive the error.
