    Smile ConsoleGames.ro - loves vBadvanced

Well, we're still on vB 3.x, but we still love our website. I've decided to post our website in here before upgrading to vB 4.x and latest vBadvanced. We just hope it will look and function much better.

    So, enjoy our website: www.consolegames.ro

    Thank you vBadvanced!

Looks great, and nothing wrong with being on 3.x, I kinda prefer it in ways over 4.x. Great looking site though. How did you go about setting up the user reviews stuff on the homepage?

    Thanks for the kind words!
As for setting up the user reviews, previews and others, it's really simple. I've created special forums for each section, and then in vBadvanced i've duplicated the News module, giving each of them the right name and selected them to only use the specially created forums.

    For example (in simple steps):
    1. Create a forum called Reviews
    2. Create a module (copy News module) called Reviews
    3. Edit the Reviews module and select to get News from Reviews forum
    4. Publish/Enable it and activate on what page you want... and voila!

Every time a new thread is started in the Reviews forum it will be added on the page your module is active. Hope it helps

Your site is a gamers haven. I hope that upgrading it will make your website better than its vB 3.x form. Please update us as soon as this goes well with you. Thank you.

bills4: that's the standard VBA module modified to suit my needs. I've set it up so it will get only the threads from my News forums (which is moderated, and each thread must contain a 720p thumbnail), and modified the used template so that it will show me the thumbnails on the left side instead of the bottom.
