    Default Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in

    I just noticed I'm getting this error after upgrading php.

    I renewed my license hoping there was an upgrade but I see I'm already running the most current version.

    Reading elsewhere I thought by adding this
    error_reporting( error_reporting() & ~E_STRICT );
    to all of the dyna_ files that it would fix the error reporting.

    It did not.
    Updating to v4 is not an option.
    Any fix?

    Where exactly are you receiving this error, and can you post the full error including the filename and line?

    Wrote up a support ticket.
    Probably easier to see the problems than describe them.

    I've had 1.2.0 installed for a long time.
    I looked at the 1.2.0 download and noticed the directory dynamics.
    I don't have the directory dynamics on my server. ???

    Edit: Never mind. dynamics is in /public_html
    My forum is /public_html/forum

    Could you try looking near the top of your dynamics/index.php file for this line:
    PHP Code:
    error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE);
    Replace with this:
    PHP Code:
    error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~8192);
    And see if that resolves the errors on that file?

    Same error.
    In fact, I edited all files in /dynamics.
