Thread: Invalid Redirect

  1. #1

    Default Invalid Redirect

Just installed vba cmps yesterday, 3.2.2 onto a new forum vb3.8.7 all is working fine except occasionally when you login from the cmps page it gives the following message after it tells you that you have logged in sucessfully:

    Invalid Redirect URL (www.sitename.com...........

Only seems to happen occasionally but its bloody annoying, it does log me in alright and if I ignore this and hit the forum link ) Im logged in as usual.

Is this when logging in from the navbar or from the Welcome Block module? Does it make a difference if you try logging in from cscgaming.net vs www.cscgaming.net?

I'm having the same issue. Login from the forum works fine, but from the vBAdvanced homepage occasionally gives me and some users that error.

    I'm running 3.2.3 with vBulletin 3.8.7PL2

I was advised (elsewhere) put this in my .htaccess and it works fine now.

    Code:
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^sitename.com
    RewriteRule (.*) http://www.sitename.com/$1 [R=301,L]

    Default Easy Fix :)

Go to your Forums Admin C-Panel. On top, open SETTINGS tab and follow instructions below.

Settings -> Options -> Site Name / URL / Contact Details.

Under "Always use Forum URL as Base Path", Change "Yes" to "No". This allows you to login without the error.
