Default navbar links using bbtitle instead of homeurl

hello,
i just upgraded to cmps1.0 from vbadvanced and all is good except for some of my navbar links on the cmps page.

the register button shows a link like http://online gaming forums.com/forum/adv_index.php
instead of www.mysite.com/forum/adv_index.php

ive had to disable the portal page as no members can register or login due to these links being wrong.

Can someone help me fix this?
i can post my navbar template if it will help.

BUMP
ive tried doing the changes from other posts but nothing seems to be fixing this

all my links such as arcade journal jukebox work 100% but the default navbar links are broken and showing my bb title instead of the url??

if i add $vboptions[homeurl]/ to them it still is displaying the links as

http://www.online gaming foums.com/foum/adv_index.php

what would be causing the links to use my forum title and not my url?

this has left me stuck as nobody can register or even get to the forum via the portal page

Help

Make sure that your 'Forum URL' option is set correctly in your Admin CP (http://yoursite.com/forum/). That's the only thing that would cause the problem you're describing.

Ive done that and it still shows the incorrect link.

Is there a way i can bypass the adv navbar construct() so it will use the main navbar instead.

vba worked flawless for me but this upgrade has just caused many problems

Ive tried both inside the forum folder and outside, changing the forum url, adding $vboptions[bburl] variable and still can't fix this

How can i uninstall this?

I had the same problem and after I fixed my Forum Home path it was fixed..my problem was that in the forum url I had put http://mysite.com/forum/index.php I had to remove the index.php part and it was all fixed..I dunno if that could be your problem but thought I'd add my 2 cents on what helped me..

I don't think that is actually the problem because I am experiencing it as well and that does not solve the problem. All of the links in the navbar use the homepage name from the admincp instead of the forum name.

In my case, the navbar links don't work because my homepage name is kittyradio.com, not soapbox - the links should point to http://kittyradio.com/soapbox/login.php but instead they are pointing to http://kittyradio.com/kittyradio.com

I have been able to temporarily solve this by changing my homepage name to the directory name in my admincp, but this is only temporary and not totally a fix because it causes the title of the index page to be called the same thing. in my case "soapbox" when the site is actually called kittyradio.com

Ideally I think it should be calling the url, not the name of the forums of the homepage. Even if it was based on the forum name there would be a problem. If my forums were called something other than the name of the direcetory, the links would be broken.

I'm trying to come up with a solution, but it would be great if someone already has a fix on this.

I've never heard of a problem like you're describing... It uses whatever you have entered in your 'Forum URL' setting to replace the links. If you're still experiencing a problem with this and would like to fill out a support ticket via the Member's Area here I'll be glad to take a look.

Any news on this? I have the same problem so I did a new install of vB 3.0.3 with vBadvanced CMPS but it turned out to be the same result. I have the script in same directory as my forums.

I actually found what's caused the problem. You can't name your forum with a dot in it (the Forum Name field in ACP).
Unfortunately I would like to have one so is there anyway to fix this problem

[edit]
I found a way to fix it and since I have the forums on the main page, I do not have any need to swap the bbtitle and hometitle.
In the function construct_adv_navbar I commented out $vboptions['bbtitle'] and $vboptions['hometitle'] and the problem is now history.

I have the same problem 3.0.3

home url links dont work, I dont have any . in my forum name
so that isnt the problem.

Unlike kjell I am using other dirs so this is a real problem atm.
I will uninstall until someone can help.
