Post vB 3.5.4 & vBa 2.1.0 = New News Not Showing Up

Okay, I know there's another thread about this, but there problem is different from mine, and I don't want to get lost in that thread. Here's what I've done and now what CMS is doing.

I was running vBadvance 2.0.0 on vBulletin 3.5.3 and noticed an upgrade to 3.5.4. I upgrade to 3.5.4, and went to download vBadvanced and noticed you guys had 2.1.0 out. I went ahead and upgraded to 2.1.0 and everything on the front page comes up just fine, just like before. The problem is, when I add a new annoucement for the main page, it does not come up to the front page. Also, the annoucements that are currently on the front page do not show up under "Edit threads" as selected to be used for News.

CMS Index:
http://www.sourcekills.com/
Forums Index:
http://www.sourcekills.com/forums/

Any help would be appriciated, as I selected this thread to go on the front page:
http://www.sourcekills.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3671
it's selected and shown in vBa, but doesn't come to the front.

Also, global.php is clean of the lines I had to remove, as I've already checked that.

Thanks

Unhappy Re: vB 3.5.4 & vBa 2.1.0 = New News Not Showing Up

i'm having a similar problem. i am also running the exact software versions as tsuehpsyde.

my news forum id as well as recent threads id are all populated with the forum names. i cannot enter anything nor delete anything. we should be able to enter the forum ids we want, but everything is populated with the forum names and there's nothing that can be deleted or added.

When you edit those settings, do you see a message that says "This option has been customized in the following pages"? If so, that means that you've customized the option on your homepage and you will need to go to Admin CP => vBa CMPS => Edit Pages => Default / Homepage and change the setting there.

Hmm, seems to work by going to Edit Pages then Home. It has a News Module down there with all of the threads listed, but that's now how I managed them before? I suppose I'll just get used to using that section to add threads instead of the part I used before.

Thans Brian, appriciate the help.

ok. after doing something that i don't know what, the news and news archive are finally showing up. however, these forum ids are from before the upgrade.

i am still seeing a fully populated forum listing (i.e. looks like forum jump menu) where you are supposed to be able to choosing which forum ids you want.

am i totally missing something here?
