Default User selected random images in Calendar module.

Rather than displaying pic of the month or week like calendar babes thread, I'm trying to let the users select and display their own random images in the calendar module. For unregistered guests or for any registered users who don't select their own images, admin selected default random images will display.

So far I can input my own image links through the profile fields I've created, and I can display random images when the cmps page is refreshed, so far so good. One thing (see attachment) I can't figure out is how to create one row under the month label that will span across the entire calendar module. My added code in the top of the header, <tr><td>xxxxxx</td></tr> forces the picture to align over the Sunday column, causing the module to stretch, so I'm guessing calendar_header is not the place to place the modification? Any help is appreciated.
