Increase vBadvanced site timeout ?

Brian,

I get logged off the vbAdvanced site after maybe 20 mins of no activity. Is it possible to increase the cookie timeout value to maybe 1 hour or greater ?

I frequently multi-task (go figure) and when I remember to finish what I was typing or reading on this site, I'm logged out.

We have the cookie timeout set to 15 minutes, which is a pretty typical setting. Anything more and things like our online users and such start to inflate, which I'd rather not do. Any reason you can't just use the 'Remember Me' checkbox?

Ahhh, explains the "quick" timeout in my book. Yeah think the VB default setting is 900 secs which is 15 mins. I understand about the server resources starting to expand if you increase user session timeouts.

Thought I had the 'Remember Me' box checked, but I'll double-check it to make sure !!

As long as you check that before logging in, it should keep you logged in until you logout or clear your cookies. I think it's been a few months since I last had to login to the user side.
