Default Change path after installation

If I installed an instance in a directory called, say, filesharing, and I want to change that directory on the server to "downloads," which software settings do I need to make to ensure that everything still works?

As long as the folder name is the only thing you'd like to change, you would just need to change the name and then update any of the URL or paths under the 'Title, URL's, and Terms' section in your main vBa Dynamics settings.
