Hi,
I have run into a problem with installing v3_arcade_for_vbulletin_2_0_3_(vb4)_20297, the install uses the table prefix of the forum is there any way to change that? this is what I get: vb4_v3arcade_categories this is what I would like: v3arcade_categories I updated/upgrade the forum from 3.7.4 to 4.1.10, I added table prefixes to the forum table which didn't exist before so I can find tables that are not part of the forum installed tables, I could not upgrade the arcade because of this table prefix problem, solution would be add the forum table prefix to v3arcade tables, this kind of defeats the purpose of adding a prefix to the forum tables. I hope somebody has a suggestion, I think the only solution is to rewrite the install file (product-v3arcade.xml), it would be nice if there was a config file to set things like this. VBA does not use the forum table prefixes, why should the arcade? Thanks |

There's not going to be an easy way to not use table prefixes. The best thing I can suggest would be to edit your v3Arcade tables via phpMyAdmin or something similar and manually add the table prefix there.

Hi Brian,
My bad ... I was mistaken, vBa also has forum prefix on. That raises another question, why do you use the forum prefix when you're products have their own prefix? (v3arcade_ and vba_) Renaming the table prefix is easy, I just don't see the need for the forum prefix. I can still easily identify your product because it does have its own prefix, so for now I guess that is the solution ... rename with the forum prefix. Thank you for your help. |

Because all of those products are subsets of vBulletin, not stand-alone products. Any vBulletin add-on that creates tables within the vBulletin environment will, if they were coded properly, be created with the vB table prefix.
