When you add a new usergroup to vb, you have to go into every module and every page to make them viewable to the new usergroup.
This should be defaulted to yes, instead of no, or there should be a global setting to set the view to yes or no to all modules and pages, unless I am missing something. |

I was debating on whether this should be changed for the next version or not, but haven't decided yet... On one hand, it makes it harder if you add a new usergroup because you have to go through and add that group to each page. On the other, if it was changed then that new group would automatically be added to each page and module that they shouldn't have access to. Right now I'm thinking that the later would be a worse scenario though.

Would there be a middle ground here, like making it an option either way on the add new module form? For example
Make module active for all Usergroups Y/N? |

When adding a usergroup, maybe it should stay defaulted to no, but there should be some sort of global change button so you don't have to edit each page and module individually, in my opinion

For simplicity sake though, I don't see the problem with defaulting to yes, there are not may usergroups you would create that shouldn't see the pages or modules.

If we set the default to 'Yes' for usergroups then any new usergroups added would automatically be able to see your 'Quick Moderation' module (just for example). Other people may have modules with more sensitive information than that as well. Another scenario might be a module that only guests should see. Any new usergroups that were added would automatically have that module active as well.
