Default Check us out: Aquatic Photography Forum

Just finished (not really) the complete CMS/Gallery/Forum system. Very happy so far, even installed a couple of great modules, like Random Gallery Images, Top posters, Nav Menu and more...

http://aquatic-photography.com

What do you think? I would love feedback, both negative and postitive.
Thanks

Ed

No problem.

Say, have you checked out that style with FireFox yet?

Looks like some of the tables aren't playing nicely. That's a modified version of the Hardwired style, right?

hey Kevin

Just downloaded and tried. The only problem I saw was the CMPS table left column going all the way to the right, pushing the rest, but only after page reload. Initially it works fine. How do I fix that?

BTW, what is the advantage of Firefox? I am personally using Opera and love the tile windows ability.

Nope... it's the same.
Do you have any .htaccess thing going on or any browser detection script?

Try clearing your cache. It's loading fine with both IE & FF.

Kevin, did you check those files OK? I know there was a discreptancy in the files in my public_html directory and my www directory, you installed the CMPS index file in the WWW but not in the public_html? Is that OK? what is the difference between those two, I always thought one mirrored the other.

The www and public_html folder are point to the same place; one is just 'shortcut' (if you will) to the other.

I just looked in your root directory; everything there looks line.

For you FF guys having problems, what version of FF are you using?

All my mac browsers have the same loop behavior.

Here's the code for the first (and only) page:
<html>
<HEAD>

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
<!-- Begin
redirTime = "";
redirURL = "http://www.aquatic-photography.com";
function redirTimer() { self.setTimeout("self.location.href = redirURL;",redirTime); }
// End -->
</script>

</head>

<BODY onLoad="redirTimer()">

</body>
</html>

That is neither the old "index.html" nor the new "index.php" file!

- What happens when you go to http://aquatic-photography.com/index.php directly?

- What browser are you using? Safari or FireFox?

- What is the IP address that aquatic-photography.com is resolving to?

Here's my terminal info:
iBook:~ rbl$ host www.aquatic-photography.com
www.aquatic-photography.com is an alias for aquatic-photography.com.
aquatic-photography.com has address 72.9.227.2

Is this address new? Might be caused by a slow dns propagation...
Why don't you try to un-alias it?

That is our old address, the site is not there, they have a redirect file on that site, probably that is the one causing this. I will check with them. The host moved their server and so now we have this problem w/people having the old server in their bookmarks, somehow. I will check and let you know.
