Having deleted or renamed an entry or a category, and than using the old link it had before deleting or renaming, the browser is pointed to: www.domain.com/dynamics//
Is there a way to show the 404 error site, when a dynamics-link is not valid anymore? I am having a hard time to put all old and now invalid links into a robots.txt file to prevent search-engines linking to them. If a 404 site would be shown instead, the search-engines would delete those links themselves after some weeks. Also my adsense custom search engine showed a lot of invalid links, until I now have all one per one (about 300 links!!) set to exclude from my custom search engine. This is really to much work to keep on doing it like that. Is there a solution? larina |
