Default Tournaments - Can't play

Basically all the tournament functions seem to work, ie I can set one up, choose to invite people etc but when I am presented with the finished tournament page I cannot actually play a game I just get a "withdraw" option.

My fix has been to disable them altogether.

I have tried downloading the files from here/from vb.org and reuploading.

Reimporting the XML several times, just doesn't work.

Has anybody else signed up for the tournament yet? If you are the tournament creator then you won't get a "Play Now" link when viewing the tournament until another play signs up for the same tournament, that way potential components won't make their decision to sign up based upon any existing scores.

Hi Kevin,

As the person creating the tournament surly I should be able to play the tournament even if no one else has signed up. Anyone else who subsequently signs up also gets the message to withdraw before they can play either.

But if you play a game when there are no other players yet then other potential players could make their decision to join based upon your score. For example, if you have a really high score then you'll likely be discouraging other players from joining and vice versa, if you have a really low score then you'll have players trolling for open tournaments knowing that they can beat some of the existing scores.

Hey Kevin,

Permissions are set to show scores for the tournaments but it's the same if you set to hide. You cannot play a tournament game full stop dude.

Here's a test account.

Try and join the tournament awaiting players and play the game.

Tournament slots all need to be filled before the tournament can commence
