Default Collapse Modules like vB4 but on vB3?

I am wondering if it is possible to give certain usergroups the ability to disable All modules which would give them extra width because currently I have a 300px RHS column I was hoping to give certain usergroups the ability to collapse these modules like in vB4 so that they can reclaim the 300px?

Thanks heaps

Do you want collapsable modules or the ability for people to delete modules? I believe collapasable modules are available as an option for a module, and if you want people to be able to change it completely, just allow them to customize the page.

Hi Samir,

I was hoping to enable it so they can horizontally collapse modules so that the width allocated goes towards the rest of the forum table once collapsed like what happens when you collapse a sidebar on vBulletin 4 it shrinks horizontally to the side bringing the rest of the forum to take over the freed up pixels.

I will look into your option also thank you

Ahhh...I wasn't aware vb4 versions allowed horizontal collapsing. Hmmm...I bet if you don't use the built-in module wrapper and code the entire module inside an html template, you should be able to mimic it.

Do you have a sample site with the vb4 module? I can see what I can experient with.

It's almost the only feature I'd upgrade for to vB4 Haha

Here it is Live

https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum.php

RHS Sidebar as a >>> Icon which hides the entire sidebar with just one click and the forum flows across, be bloody brilliant to get this on vB3 for members who purchase subscriptions etc etc.

I have very little coding experience (took me 14 hours last night to implement min and max-width!) If you come up with any thing solid I'd greatly appreciate it and perhaps others would too

Wow. I've spent a lot of time on vb.com and didn't even see this feature until you pointed it out.

What's your site look like so I can get an idea how it would work?

I'm no programmer either, but maybe I can guide you in the right direction.

Hmm any more basic options in allowing users to disable the sidebar from within vBAd? Whats that let users customize page you mentioned?
