Question Trouble uninstalling

I uninstalled vbadvanced cmps and dynamics, but I still have them listed in the side menu:

When I click on the menus, all the sub categories have the * next to them. I used the uninstall feature for each, and after seeing these links, I went in an uninstalled all the files. I also still have all the adv_dyna_ tables in my database.

Should the uninstall deleted these tables, and how do I get rid of the non-functioning menu??

As you have already run the uninstaller, you need to ensure you have deleted all the files that you copied to your vbulletin installation when you installed cmps and dynamics. This includes the ones you added to your admincp folder.

To ensure you delete only the correct files, just look at the original package you downloaded for each of cmps and dynamics to see what files you need to remove from your vbulletin install.

Once that is done the non-functioning menus should go.

You do not need to delete the tables, but if you do decide to delete them anyway, make sure you are careful and only delete the right ones.

I looked at the files that were in the folder to install, and thought I deleted them all.

Was there an order I should have uninstalled them?

I was wondering if I should install, and uninstall again?

I don't see any files that still need deleted.

You missed the includes/xml/cpnav_cmps.xml and cpnav_dyna.xml files. There is a full list of all files included with each product in the readme.html file that comes with the downloads.

Thanks Brian.

I found:

cpnav_vbacmps.xml
cpnav_vbadyna.xml

hooks_vbacmps.xml
hooks_vbadyna.xml

Should I delete those hooks as well?

What about these tables:

adv_dyna_attachmentperm
adv_dyna_attachments
adv_dyna_attachmenttype
adv_dyna_categories
adv_dyna_categoryperms
adv_dyna_cfields
adv_dyna_cfields_entries
adv_dyna_deletionlog
adv_dyna_entries
adv_dyna_entries_pages
adv_dyna_entryparsed
adv_dyna_entrypublish
adv_dyna_extcache
adv_dyna_favorites
adv_dyna_guestbook
adv_dyna_layout
adv_dyna_memberscats
adv_dyna_moderator
adv_dyna_modules
adv_dyna_modules_user
adv_dyna_posts
adv_dyna_rate
adv_dyna_search
adv_dyna_subscribecat
adv_dyna_subscribeentry
adv_dyna_tempviews

Are those all the associated database tables? How can I get rid of those??

Yes, those hook files can be removed as well.
To uninstall you will need to upload the admincp/vbadyna_install.php file, then go to it in your browser and select the option to Uninstall.

Will that uninstall the tables? Do I have to leave the files I forgot to delete in there to use the admincp/vbadyna_install.php?

cpnav_vbacmps.xml
cpnav_vbadyna.xml

hooks_vbacmps.xml
hooks_vbadyna.xml

Do I have to re-load all the files before using admincp/vbadyna_install.php to uninstall everything?

I ran vbadyna_install.php. It didn't do anything.

I really want to get rid of these unused tables.

If you run the Uninstall option from the admincp/vbadyna_install.php file then that will remove all vBa Dynamics tables. The only ones that it leaves are the adv_setting and adv_settinggroup, which are used in all vBadvanced products.
