Default Style question for templates

Hello,

I have purchased a style to use on my board and that is the only one I use, I do not use the default vb style.

So, my question is...when I add pages, etc to my vbadavanced cmps it asks me if I want to add them using the default style or my purchased style. I am just getting back into this after a couple years but if I remember correctly, if I told it to use my wanted style instead of the default vb style I always had problems after upgrading...could be wrong.

What are the differences/problems in choosing one or the other? I apologize if it's a stupid newbie question but I need to know before moving forward.

Thank you,
Kimberly

not sure where you are getting asked what style to add the page to, but if yo mean the setting called "Custom Style for this Page", leave it set to default

Thank you Dragonsys for your response,

Yes, it is the setting below.

Custom Style for this Page
If you would like, you may select a style to use for this page. If a style is selected, that style will override your default vBulletin or any user chosen style settings on this page.

I guess what confuses me it that is says it "will override your default vBulletin or any user chosen style settings on this page." And I only want to use my Life Elements style.

So, let me see if I understand correctly. In my vbulletin style and language settings I have my default style set to Life Element. So, because of that even if I leave the "Custom Style for this Page" set to default when adding pages or modules, etc it is still going to show up in my chosen style rather than the vb default. Is that correct?

With all the stuff that I've had to figure out in vBulletin it seems really silly that this one stumped me! Live and learn...

Thanks

What that option does is allow you to use a Different style for the individual page. If you set it to Default, it will use your Site's Default Template
