Default div around the news block (wrapper around wrapper?)

Apparently the News widget runs the module_wrapper x times and creates a separate block for each news post.

Is there a way to wrap the x-times-wrapped-news into another wrapper?

i just want a single DIV around all my news items

ah, it seems the vba_news div is hardcoded in the file news.php line 908
Code:
$home[$newsmod['modid']]['content'] = '<div id="vba_news' . $newsmod['modid'] . '">' . $home[$newsmod['modid']]['content'] . '</div>
