Default Error with installing CMPS

I've uploaded all of the files into their locations to install CMPS on my forums, but every time I run the "http://yoursite.com/forum/admincp/vbacmps_install.php" link, it gives me this error:

Code:
Not Found

The requested URL /forum/admincp/vbacmps_install.php was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
I have the vbacmps_install.php file installed in the admincp directory, but I keep getting this error.
How can I fix this?

If memory serves me correct it doesn't go in the admincp folder, it goes in the root directory where all the folders such as admincp go so the path to it would be something like

http://yoursite.com/forum/vbacmps_install.php

but to run the install script you would put http://yoursite.com/vbacmps_install.php in your browser

Still not working, I get the same error.
I moved the file from the AdminCP directory to the forum root, but still not working when I try to run the install .php script.

What version of VB are you using? are you using the correct version VBA for your Vb? I'm on 3.8 and I'm fairly certain that I didn't have to run the install.php

try putting the install.php back into the forum/admin folder and have a look at

www.yoursite.com/cmps_index.php

I am running 3.8.7. I can't get to the portal, even without running install.php.
I can't get a professional instillation, so what do I do?

I tried the post above me, that didn't work either.

The full install instructions are included in the download package. They clearly show the correct placement of the files. Check the file locations.

Have you set the forum path correctly in the index file?

I fixed the issue, it was a problem with my ftp client, sorry.
One more (last) question: How do I make my homepage the CMPS page? So for instance I want mysite.com to be the CMPS page. How do I do that?
