Default vBa modules in header template.

I'm trying to figure out a way to insert modules into my header template(next to my logo). I followed http://www.vbadvanced.com/membersare...eid=6#intmange

but I don't think i'm either doing it right, or this isn't what I should be doing.

I make the integrated page, add index.php and if I define script as header or index, nothing shows up. I have made a new module box called header and put the code in the header template.

Any advice?

Maybe this will help.

For each region you add to the Location List in Main Option, you should customize your CSS so you dont break the site.

Looks like that is just for the main portal template page, I need to be able to add to outside of that template like header or footer.

It should also work with the header.
Just follow the concept rather than the tutorial.
Add a variable name, such as my_header.
Then add the template var to the header template you wish to edit.
{vb:raw home.my_headerblocks}

EDIT: I tested the concept and it failed.
Will do further research.

Yea, i've tried doing everything you can think of to get this to work. I might just have to manually add code for modules rather then having it automated.

You would have to globalize the CMPS variables for this to work

How would you globalize a Location?
Or do we globalize the module file that we plan to use in the header?

One workaround hack that I thought of (UNTESTED) would simply be replacing the header shortcode in your portal page and pasting the entire header into it instead.
That way, you can edit as you like.

the CMPS variables are not global, so they do not work outside of CMPS; hence the modules won't work
