Default Recent threads seem to have disappeared... 'No Threads to Display'

We have a CMPS page setup here:

http://www.hometheatershack.com/inde...wooferprojects

The center column is the Build Projects Listing by Driver Manufacturer module that includes all of the threads from this forum:

http://www.hometheatershack.com/foru...ofer-database/

Build Projects Listing by Driver Manufacturer Options

Recent Threads = http://www.hometheatershack.com/foru...ofer-database/

Number of Threads to Display = 50 (so that we get all of them)

Cut-Off Date = 0

All we can get is No Threads to Display... as you can see.

I also posted a new thread titled, "AAA Testing" but it does not show up either.

We haven't changed any settings for that page or the module since it was last working, which was not long ago, although I cannot say the exact time. I am guessing something else has changed to cause it problems, but have no idea what it might be. We have not upgraded vBulletin since it worked, however we may have updated CMPS for the security issues. I want to say it was working since then, but it has been several months since I last viewed it, so I cannot be sure.

I am guessing it has something to do with the forum from which it pulls the threads.

My reasoning for suggesting this is that I created an identical module to the one in the right column: Latest DIY Subwoofer Build Projects ... I renamed it and changed the forum it was pulling threads from to the Members DIY Subwoofer Database forum: http://www.hometheatershack.com/foru...ofer-database/ and no threads showed up.

I went back and changed the Cut-Off date to 360 days to make sure I was picking up some threads, but it still would not show any threads.

I then went back and changed it back to another forum and it pulled the threads in fine.

I am not sure what would have changed about not being able to pull from that forum, as we have not changed any settings with that particular forum. That forum is not set to Active... never has been, however if I change it and set it to Active it will pull the threads over. But we do not want that forum set to Active... we want it to show up only on this CMPS page.

Is there something in the security patch that might cause it not to pull from a forum that is not set to Active?

I have temporarily set the forum to Active, but I would still like to know what may be causing the module not to be able to pull from a forum that is not set to active, when it used to be able to do so.

It was changed some time ago since others did not want non-active forums to show up in the recent threads. If you would like to change this, you can look in the includes/vba_cmps_include_top.php file for 2 instances of this code and remove it:
PHP Code:
!($finfo['options'] & $vbulletin->bf_misc_forumoptions['active']) OR

Thanks... however, I hope you mean vba_cmps_include_bottom.php, because it ain't in _top.php

I am not sure why they would simply not select the non-active forums if they did not want them to show up in recent threads.

Whoops, yes I meant _bottom.php.
If you don't select any forums for the module (as it is by default) then all forums are pulled from, so by default it would include non-active forums for most users if that change had not been made.

So glad I found this thread, I was going around in circles trying to figure out what happened after doing a minor upgrade... looks like I went up to the version that was no longer showing inactive forums, which we use for one of our homepage modules.
