[Request] How can I add a custom block that can pull posts from my forum?

Hi there,

I'm looking for a way to put a block in the center that would pull "X" amount of "first posts" from a forum. I know there's already a "news" module that does exactly this - but I need another separate piece as well.

The problem adding several forums to the news module that's already there is - it takes the latest post from all forums combined. For example, if I have forum 1,2,3 chosen, it'll take whichever is the newest post and place it on top.

What I need, however, is two or three separate sections with the past few posts on top - not all bunched together as one big category...

Am I making any sense to anyone here?
