Custom Content Page

Like most people who post here, I want to preface by saying I have looked thru the earlier posts for info, and many of them have indeed helped on other tweaks Ive done so far. And I realize what Im having trouble with most surely has been answered many times, so you Admins forgive yet another newbie. (my expertise is GIS - Arc/Info, ArcIMS, etc)

Im new to VBadvanced and PHP for that matter. I have my forums up & running, installed the CMPS and thus far everything is going as planned except:

1) Im not clear what the Custom Page Content module is for.

2) How/what goes into this Custom Page Content - and how do you put it there. Im guessing this is a "miscellaneous" area?

I have the rest of the modules working correctly (I think), but the Custom Content isnt showing (although I do have it checked/enabled in the center column:

Oh, also, the News Archive isnt showing now; will it appear once there is older posts in that forum?

When you create a new page with the CMPS, if you specify a template name in the 'Page Template' option then the contents of that template will be displayed in place of the 'Custom Page Content' module. The same goes with integrating your forums with the CMPS and your forums will be displayed in place of that module.
Your news archive should show up once there are more posts in that forum than the number of news posts you specify that you would like displayed.
