About as basic as it gets...

I finally got my CMPS 2.0 installed and have never fooled around with this before.

Here is what I want to do...

I have a forum called "News" and would like any item posted as a new thread in there to be displayed on the front page of the portal.

Like I said, I'm a rookie at this and need some help.
