Hide Hack

I installed hidehack on my test board , it hidden the content in the forum but on my vbadvanced it still showing the code :

[hide] test hidden content[/hide]

So i just wonder how and which files to edit sow vbadvanced will hide this content as well instead showing the above code?

What method was used to create the hide hack? Some are based upon BB code but others modify the showthread files.
