Default vba links 1.1 inheritance

Will a new subdirectory inherit all it's parents attributes, even though it doesn't show them as active? For example, I have a directory set to not allow img links, then give it a subdirectory. Viewing the subdir in admin, it defaults to allowing img links, but will the parent settings actually control it?

What about if you move a subdir to another parent? Will it inherit the new parent's settings?

Is this the same for categories and directories?

No, settings are not inherited from their parent categories.

That's disappointing. Does that include moderator?

Does this change in 2.0?

Moderators are in both versions. Settings are not in either version though as they are stored as bitfields and there's really no way to.
