Fresh install 3.5 major problem

Hey,
Im trying to install vbadvanced on a fresh copy of vb3.5, after doing the file edits, and uploading the files i run the script installer, choose begin install.

then it just hangs, the browser timeouts and mysql goes down. Anyone had this issue?

Never heard of anyone having that problem. Do you have a lot of styles installed by chance?

15 styles, would that really be a factor?

edit: i reduced the number of styles to 2, but still the page just times out after about 10secs, and then mysql dies causing the following errors:
mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (11) /home/gene/public_html/includes/class_core.php on line 273

Im using the latest vbulletin software and have no hacks in place, other than the global.php edit made for this script.

Sorry for wasting your time Brian, seems there was a really weird problem with cpanel and mysql, which was causing the sql server to crash.

All fixed now and the install worked fine
