Default Posting News

Okay this could possibly be the dumbest question on the forum but someone has to ask it right?

I installed and got running the new content managment system from the frontpage. However I can't seem to figure out where I would go about adding news to the news area. Is there some entry manager I'm missing or....?

Thanks in Advance,
-Neverrain

I have the same problem, I cannot understand how to add News, I managed to add Modules but I hope that you don't have to create Modules and edit Files and Templates each time you need to post some News, or do I?

First you need to create a forum just for News. You can use an existing forum if you want. You need to find out what that forums ID number is. You can do that hovering over that forum and it will have the ID number at the end of the link displayed.

Once you know the ID number go to you ADMINCP/vBa CMPS/Default Settings and go down to New Options and put the Forum Id in the block called News Forum ID.

Now just make sure your News module is listed to be diplayed on your front page.

Thanks a lot, worked fine. Thanks.

You wouldn't know what to do to increase the vertical and horizontal size of the News posted right? There is a lot of gap horizontally between the News (Center Column) and the Left and Right Columns, I would like these to be closer. If anyone can help it would be great.

Sorry for not posting a new topic.
