Default install issues a plenty

originally i was getting the line 22 error, with a bit of searching i cleared that up. since i fixed that issue i have been getting the 404 error. i have tried SEVERAL of the fixes posted for the 404 error but to no avail. i just do not understand what the issue could be. i have been at this now non stop for about 8 hours, and just don't get what the hold up is.

Where exactly are you getting a 404 error? When you try to go to the install file, or what exactly?

yes while trying to install Brian. i am using this /home/content/d/e/v/devoted2wife/html in the cmps_index.php because according to the info gathered from forumpath.php that is what i am susposed to be using per the instructions.

my site is http://www.2fatdudezandacanuckmodz.com i only get the 404 error when i add this at the end /forum/admincp/vbacmps_install.php

Have you tried re-uploading the file to make sure that it wasn't corrupted or anything like that? If that doesn't help and you'd like to submit a support ticket via the Members' Area here I'll be glad to take a look at things for you.

thank you for your fast response on my ticket. i went to run the install, and it said that vb cmps was already installed. i logged into the admin cp and YES the cmps button is NOW there however, the footer at the bottom of the page never updated indicating i was even running cmps NOR are any of the modules visible on the site. i dunno what else i am missing or forgetting to do.
